A few weeks ago it was that time again. A road trip through Switzerland with the new Aston Martin SUV DBX 707.
The journey started in Basel, where we stayed for one night at Le Troi Rois. Unfortunately, it was a short stay, but enough time to realize that this is one of the best grand hotels in Switzerland. Everything was perfect… service, food, the room… a clear recommendation from me.
It then went on to Gstaad where we stayed two nights at the Le Grand Hotel Bellevue Gstaad and two more at the Alpina Gstaad. Both hotels are absolutely recommendable. We had a very nice and comfortable room at the Alpina Gstaad and I really liked the luxurious mountain-inspired decor. Wood and stone have been perfectly combined here. The spa is absolutely state of the art and the food tasted wonderful. I even finally found my beloved banana split there again… almost no where else is it offered.
After an exciting ride through different passes, we arrived in Lucerne… But before that I have to write a few lines about the Aston Martin. This car is just wonderful… the powerful engine leaves nothing to be desired. I really like the design and the color would also be my first choice if I would buy it. The DBX 707 offers a lot of space and comfort. It performed fantastically on the pass ride and drove curve after curve towards Lucerne without any problems. In Lucerne, our goal was the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, which is located directly on the lake. Our room was just beautiful with a view of the lake and a large terrace. The room, like the whole hotel, was very modern, stylishly furnished and the food was absolutely excellent… whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner… just excellent.
The last stop of our road trip deluxe was Zurich where we stayed at the Dolder. Our room had a wonderful view of the city and the spa was excellent. Unfortunately we were only there for two nights and had to go back home
. A road trip through Switzerland is always a pleasure. I’m already looking forward to the next time. Please check my highlights on my Instagram feed to see all the stories about this trip. xoxo Georgina Moreno.
